Gluten-free pancakes
Healthy pancakes made from quinoa and chia seeds. More »
 

For 12 slices you need the following ingredients:

  • 175g of quinoa
  • 25g chia seeds
  • 150ml of water and more for soaking the quinoa
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon tartar (for lighter dough, but not a condition)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 squeezed lemon

Preparation

Rinse the quinoa in a medium-sized bowl with plenty of water and place in the refrigerator overnight. Cover the chia seeds in a small glass that is half full of water. Also leave in the fridge overnight.

Rinse the quinoa through a sieve, being careful to rinse off any excess water. Mix quinoa, chia seeds and half a cup of water, olive oil, tartar, salt, lemon juice in a blender. Stir for 3 minutes at high speed or. until the mass resembles the dough for pancakes.

If they are thicker, bake them for a longer time. But allow the children to decorate them with a variety of healthy fruits and home-made fruit pies.
