CORONAVIRUS, VIRAL DISEASES AND VIRUSES IN GENERAL

30.10.2020

A virus is not a parasite in the narrow medical sense, but merely from the point of view that it needs a living cell to reproduce.

It is like a small robot that attaches itself to a human cell and drops its genetic material into it, taking control of it and finding its place in the living cell's hereditary material, which begins to produce new young viruses. This can lead to severe clinical symptoms, or a person might not have any clinical signs but still spreads viruses around. Therefore, medical staff is warning us to stay at home during epidemic events , as we can be contagious without showing any signs of illness.

Viruses have a complex genetic system and a high rate of a wide variety of mutations, which, together with natural selection, cause constant formation of viruses with new properties. Particularly problematic are viruses with a viral envelope to which intrinsic harmful viral proteins are attached, giving viruses their special properties.

Many mutations do not survive, yet some mutations occur that cause epidemics and pandemics. Over the last century, we have known mainly the mutated Influenza A viruses. The fact that the Spanish flu of 1918 caused a severe pandemic with 20 million dead is most likely due to the war and poor living conditions of the time.

Two aspects are crucial in the fight against viruses: the virus's ability to cause disease and the ability of the organism to defend itself.

Researching viruses and destroying them is left to medicine; however, medicine forgets to put more emphasis on the body's ability to defend itself and on how to help the body proactively defend itself.

Coronavirus is one of those viruses that affects the respiratory mucosa and does not penetrate through the mucosa into the body but can spread across its surface and damage larger areas of the respiratory tract. The virus contains proteins on its envelope with which it can attach itself to a human cell, thus infecting it.

Vitamin D prevents the Fusion phase of the virus with the human cell.

Vitamin D lowers the number of specific receptors on the surface of lung cells through which the virus enters the cell itself.

In this article, I discuss prevention solely, although there is evidence of the effectiveness of vitamins D and C in viral infection. It is vital to maintain an open mind to new ideas and see if they work. Still, I wish orthodox medicine would accept the views of complementary (natural) medicine when it has been shown to assist standard medical practice and also its benefits for prevention of disease.

In our office, too, vitamin D measurements in healthy people have shown that the values are critically below the limit of 30 units (tests performed by slovenian laboratory Adrialab). A healthy individual should have values well over 30, somewhere around 50-60, yet such is not the case. Therefore, we recommend an intake of 2,000 IU of vitamin D daily, and under medical supervision even more. In any case, the elderly population has low vitamin D levels, and vitamin supplementation should be part of their basic care at the preventive and primary levels. Add another 20mg of zinc to vitamin D since it magnifies its effect.

Smokers should pay special attention to the intake of vitamins, as smoking is known to deplete vitamin supplies in the body. Specifically, I wish to emphasize that smoking lowers the content of vitamin D in the body, which adds to the negative effects of smoking on the lungs and further increases the risk of viral infection.

The well-known vitamin for the immune system is vitamin C, which should also be a key component for maintaining immunity during the winter months. You can regularly consume 1,000 mg of it three times a day.

Therefore, during viral illnesses, consume daily:

Order a package of all three products or make an appointment for a consultation at the BIORESONA center.

The baby formula is slightly different. To calculate the concentrations, e-mail us.

The physical properties of viruses are also interesting. Typically, viruses are more resistant to low temperatures, but at temperatures above 55 degrees Celsius, they lose their harmful nature and can no longer bind to cells. The use of dry, hot saunas and infrared saunas, as far as the basic health condition allows, thus has a preventive effect on protection against viral infection, as it raises the temperature near the nasal mucosa above the critical limit, which is harmful to viruses.

It has also been proven that viruses, as well as nCoV-19, are sensitive to UV rays. Participate in activities in the sun, but after being exposed to places like the store, take off your clothes and put them in the sun or wash them in at least 60 degrees Celsius.

Let a lot of fresh air into your house or apartment a few times a day, and make sure the air in the rooms where you live or sleep is not too dry (the mucous membranes of your body are less resistant to the virus if they are dry). Do not smoke or at least reduce smoking if possible.

Consume sufficient amounts of clean, warm water, lemonade, herbal teas, fresh vegetables and spices (parsley, garlic, onion, turmeric, cinnamon and ginger). Whenever possible, avoid foods that burden the intestinal immune system, such as gluten, animal products, milk, sweets.

It is also important to take measures to reduce the nervous system's activity and stress, which also trigger unnecessary harmful reactions in the body via the neuro-endocrine-immune axis. Suggested remedies are relaxation and movement in nature (exercise, walking in nature, extroversion, taking a walk). Observing the environment and nature diverts your attention from the negative thoughts and news that cause anxiety and fear. Get seven or more hours of sleep. You can also reduce stress during this major coronavirus pandemic by stopping constantly monitoring the media and their bad news. Let's focus on the creative things in our lives and create our own aesthetics and good relationships.

You could also do bullet points:

  • Relaxation or doing things that calm you or make you feel good
  • Taking a walk (maybe more specific things like really observe your environment), exercise, walking in nature, getting outside
  • Get 7 or more hours of sleep (perhaps some suggestions on how to get a good night's sleep such as cal mag, no alcohol, no fights or enturbulation, plan your day, read and no social media
  • Don't watch the news
  • Focus on positive things in your life and environment
  • Talk to friends

Naturally, it is necessary to follow the state measures to stop the virus's wave of infection. Still, at the same time, complementary measures should help strengthen our immune system's regenerative mechanisms.
Everything that happens in life is an opportunity for personal growth and the establishment of new values, as well as a preparation for a new beginning. External opinions and fears should remain external and (have no effect) on us. Thriving and prospering is the way through this crisis.
