HAY FEVER? Are there any natural remedies?

04.03.2022

Hay fever (latin medical term, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis) is a seasonal disease characterized by sneezing, tearing, red eyes, runny or stuffy nose, tickling in the nose and esophagus, headache and irritability.

Hay fever occurs as a result of the immune system's hypersensitivity to allergenic substances that a person inhales from the environment. It is caused by pollen from herbs, grains, grasses, trees and shrubs. Spring hay fever is caused by pollen from hazel, birch and willow; hay fever in early summer by pollen from beech, maple, oak and meadow plants (grasses, thyme), and in late summer by pollen from wormwood and reeds. It mostly affects the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract, nose, paranasal sinuses and eyes. It can occur as a stand-alone disease or in combination with other forms of allergic diseases, especially asthma.

Why do some people develop hay fever and others do not?

Upon contact with an allergen or other immunogen, susceptible individuals develop antibodies that trigger an immune response the next time they encounter the immunogen. Inflammatory substances and histamine begin to be released. Histamine increases the permeability of small veins (blood vessels) and causes irritation of the nasal mucosa and sneezing, which is followed by an inflammatory process and then by symptoms of hay fever.

Why some people trigger an immune reaction when they come in contact with an allergen and others do not is still unknown. Genetic factors play an important role in this, so allergic diseases are more common within certain families. Problems begin to appear as early as childhood or young age; in older age, the symptoms become milder. It is estimated that about 20% of people in Europe and North America suffer from some form of hay fever.

How can we help you?

Many patients choose bioresonance therapy precisely because of the side effects of conventional drugs or when those drugs do not alleviate the condition.

In our office, the BICOM bioresonance method can help relieve symptoms, even when conventional therapy does not work, as it is a complementary method of treatment that promotes the body's own healing powers.

During flowering, we start symptomatic as well as preventative treatment. As visits to our centre are currently not possible (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), we have developed our own proprietary nasal drops using the BICOM device which can considerably reduce the symptoms of hay fever - These unique nasal drops cost only 12€ and we currently offer free shipping. You can get them here on our website.

The drops are prepared similarly to a homeopathic remedy, meaning that they are enriched with healing frequencies according to your problems.

How do I help myself?

The most effective way to treat all forms of allergies is to avoid the allergen, which is almost impossible in the case of hay fever. Plant pollen is transmitted through the air, it can be found several kilometers away from the source, and sunny and windy weather intensifies its spread. Therefore, it is essential for people adversely affected by hay fever to follow the information on pollen content in the air and, if possible, follow these tips:

• In cities, do not (open your windows in your) apartment in the evening, and in the countryside, not between five and ten o'clock in the morning (because then the concentration of pollen is highest).
• During the flowering season, it is advisable to keep car windows up.
• When you arrive home, it is recommended that you take a shower and change immediately.
• Laundry should be washed at high temperatures, dried in the dryer or in the apartment.
• Go for a walk in nature after it rains (because the rain washes pollen away).
• While walking in nature, wear sunglasses (to protect the mucous membranes of the eyes from pollen).
• Do not pick flowers.
• Spend holidays in the mountains or at sea.
• Frequently practice good nasal hygiene (rinsing the nose with saline cleanses the mucous membrane of allergens).
• Hydrate the body well, be on a diet rich in chlorophyll and omega 3 fatty acids.
• Consume sufficient amounts of vitamin C (acts as a natural antihistamine) and vitamin A (important for the protection of mucous membranes).
• Do not stay in rooms where cigarette smoke is present and avoid the use of perfume, room fresheners and many cleaners, as these can worsen hay fever.

These tips are often very difficult or impossible to follow, which is why classical medicine recommends antihistamines, decongestant nasal sprays, eye drops, and in more severe cases, corticosteroids, which quickly alleviate the symptoms but often have side effects.

Feel free to contact us. Dr. Rome and myself as well as our BIORESONA staff are always available to help you.
